I'm not convinced that Cuba wants the embargo lifted. The communist took to 3rd richest country in North America to one were the average worker is paid less than $20 per month. Despite a global economy that could supply the markets for their goods and the investment they are not getting from the US, they blame all their economic woes on the US.
If we normalize relations and drop the embargo the communist will lose the #1 excuse they use to explain the horrible economic disaster they have foisted upon their people.
