I love bashing cops, but ya know what..?
This really was a thief.
Meh -—I don’t care.
I also don’t care about swisher sweets thieves, or neighborhood prowlers.
I really care about the innocent dogs, old people, families getting house-raided, etc.
This one didn’t bug me.
It bugs me. They are supposed to uphold the law, not break it. Off to jail they will go. Good riddance.
So, the cops can dispense justice on their own? I didn't realize the cops could hold jury all on their own before this guys day in court; guilty on video not. While you're not caring; here's to hoping karma is a bitch to you and a cop whoops your ass before you are even arraigned. And before you say "I don't break laws"; yup, you do. You just haven't run across that right kinda of cop you love yet.
There job is to arrest the bad guys, not join in in some form of mob “justice” sans trial. This is nothing more than a bunch of thugs operating under the color of authority.
I understand the thought, and actually to some degree sympathise with it. The problem is if they think it's acceptable in this case, they are much more likely to think it's proper to beat folks that you might be less supportive of them going off on.
They are not supposed to be judge, jury, and executioner. If you let them do it "sometimes" it's much harder to restrain them in other situations.
