Students and alumni of a Catholic high school in Iowa held a rally on Wednesday afternoon to protest a decision by school officials not to hire a gay teacher.
The rally at Dowling Catholic High School in West Des Moines involved a walkout and a demonstration at which a handful of students and alumni spoke, reports The Des Moines Register.
The gay teacher who did not get hired had worked as a substitute at Dowling Catholic High — a school of some 1,430 souls.
In the process of vetting the teaching candidate for a full-time teaching job, school officials learned that he has a boyfriend and is engaged to be married.

“Catholic schools are an extension of the church and are committed to following the church’s teachings and doctrine in employment matters. Our contracts contain specific language that outline the expected code of conduct in accord with long accepted Church teaching...
The same is true of all other interest groups of the left.
With this pope, I expect them to hire him..............
Let that handful go to the local public school, there’ll be plenty of gay teachers for them to support.
Find out of the local bishop gives Communion to pro-abortion politicians.
If so, he has already caved. He has already admitted that the government has the authority to decide who is a good Catholic and may receive the sacraments.

Eventually this will become a problem in all parochial schools, especially those that rely on state or federal funding.
Many assumed that the “gay rights” issue wouldn’t affect them; after all, why would these people bother going to a parochial school? However, there is going to be the militant who has to make the statement.
I think of this passage often, in these days.

Until our USA media represents the demographics of all Americans, instead of only left leaning Hollywood elite liberals with lots of influence and lots of money, and other minorities, forget a USA that will ever receive news that represents reality for all.
Our so called govt czars and departments in government and in politics and now the SCOTUS are influenced the same way. We need representative cultural balance in America. Until we get it we will have imbalance against most, and loss of freedom of many.
