HELENA, Mont. (Apr. 8, 2015) – A bill that would heavily diminish the effect of federal surplus equipment programs that militarize local police was given final approval by the Montana House today.

The vote was 79-20.

Introduced by Rep. Nicholas Schwaderer (R-Superior), House Bill 330 (HB330) bans state or local law enforcement agencies from receiving drones that are armored, weaponized, or both; aircraft that are combat configured or combat coded; grenades or similar explosives and grenade launchers; silencers; and “militarized armored vehicles” from federal military surplus programs.

Good for them. Montana lives up to its liberty reputation.

Don’t take the Federal bribes. It’s not just the militarization, it’s the leverage they have on you after that.

We don’t need municipalities being bribed with their own money that took a detour through DC. If that’s what it’s being used for, it can stay right where it was earned, and they can buy what they really need at home.

From Walter E. Williams, July 03, 2013 =>

The heartening news for us is that state legislatures are beginning to awaken to their duty to protect their citizens from unconstitutional acts by the Congress, the White House and a derelict Supreme Court.

According to an Associated Press story, about four-fifths of the states now have local laws that reject or ignore federal laws on marijuana use, gun control, health insurance requirements and identification standards for driver's licenses.

if every state got together- or enough states got together, they could defeat this crap by REFUSING to comply and stating VERY clearly that ANY government agent that comes to their state to try to enforce a federal police force action WILL be arrested!
