President Barack Obama’s staff and visitors now have the option of using a gender-neutral restroom, a White House spokesman said Wednesday — the latest in a series of symbolic steps the Obama administration has taken to work the priorities of the LGBT community into its broader themes of inclusiveness and tolerance.
The newly designated restroom is an example of how the administration has been advancing the discussion by raising the profile of transgender issues, an area of debate that is especially hotly contested right now. The restroom will be located in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, where much of the White House staff works.
“An all-gender restroom is also available in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, which provides guests and staff an additional option,” said White House spokesman Jeff Tiller.
It’s a follow-up on Obama’s executive order, which went into effect Wednesday, banning discrimination against gay and transgender employees of companies that contract with the federal government.
“The White House allows staff and guests to use restrooms consistent with their gender identity, which is in keeping with the administration’s existing legal guidance on this issue and consistent with what is required by the executive order that took effect today for federal contractors,” Tiller also noted.

I don't know what it's like now, but we were greeted by larger than life sized, black and white, photos of Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea in the room where we waiting to meet the tour guide. It was nauseating.

I used to think that the Family Restrooms were evil but now I realize that if you have a dad with a 10 year old daughter, it’s not safe for her in either a men’s or a women’s restroom. A Family Restroom is a good solution. They also usually have baby stations so dad can change a diaper. I know a federal judge who came down like a hammer on the gym we belong to because guys were bringing their little girls in. Women bring their little boys in but they have to be under 3 and women usually don’t walk around naked in their locker room. I guess men do. Once there was a man who came in dressed as a woman and walked around with a stupid grin and a hard-on. Several people complained and I haven’t seen him since.
LBGT . . . about 1.7% of the population . . . and this absolute moron caters to them and craps all over the 90+ %.
