Subsidized health care, discrimination ban, Office of New Americans and MORE

Lawmakers want to further protect immigrants

The same California legislators who helped get undocumented residents drivers licenses unveiled a package Tuesday of 10 bills that would also provide them with subsidized health care and other benefits, including protection from fraud and discrimination.

Senate President Pro Tem Kevin de León, D-Los Angeles, said the flurry of bills “unequivocally state California’s commitment to immigrants.”

During a news conference in Sacramento, de León and others switched between English and Spanish to tout the proposed laws they said mark a “historic moment” for the state.

One proposal was floated last year: a bill by Sen. Ricardo Lara, D-Bell Gardens, that would extend Medi-Cal health care coverage to all Californians, regardless of their immigration status.

The original tab for that proposal was $1.3 billion. A spokesman for Lara said Tuesday the cost could be $200 million to $400 million less if the federal government grants waivers to undocumented immigrants who want to purchase private health insurance through the state’s health care exchange.

De León could not say how the state would pay for the extended health care program.

Literally every effort of this administration is to perforce enfranchise illegals in a frantic race to out-pace the number of people who are, as late as this in this disastrous presidency, discovering just how much of a complete piece of crap it has been. It’s just like Harry Reid and his s**tbag lies. “We won, didn’t we?”

"including protection from fraud"

LOLOLOLOL!

Protect the illegal aliens, with FRAUDULENT documents, and FRAUDULENT stolen identities, FRAUDULENT SSNs from....FRAUD!

Sorry, Senor Illegal, but it looks like someone sold you fraudulent documents.

No problema, the State of California has set aside a couple hundred millions of dollars to catch these crooks who defrauded you.

First, we're going to need your name.

Can I see your ID?

Oh, yeah, heh, my mistake, uh, just tell us how much you were defrauded out of and we'll cut you a check.

No bank account?

We can wire it to wherever you want.

Mexico? Is that a Mexican address?

I'm sorry my Spanish is a little rusty. Here, let me get a taxpayer funded translator, he'll help you get the money you are entitled to.

Ben Franklin reportedly said ‘When the people find that they can vote themselves other people’s money that will herald the end of the republic.”

I don’t think even he anticipated that the people would one day find that they could also vote themselves other people’s sovereignty.

From the article:

Meanwhile, announcement of the bills was greeted with enthusiasm by immigrant rights advocates.

“This year is poised to mark another crucial milestone on the road to EQUITY for the millions of undocumented immigrants who call the Golden State home,’’ said Reshma Shamasunder, executive director of the California Immigrant Policy Center.

Note the word “equity” instead of equality...very telling IMHO.

Illegally sneaking into America and pigging out at the government trough does not make one an American.

Veterans are being ignored while we subsidize foreign nationals.

Well, I more fully understand now why the state of California recently sent me a notice that it has reason to believe that I owe state taxes, even though I have not earned income in CA for 11 years.

Even while running up a huge debt, with deficits growing larger every year, the idiots in charge are actively looking for ways to spend even more money on buying [illegal] votes. Meanwhile, the infrastructure is falling apart. CA is rapidly becoming one of those third world dictatorships, where a few privileged wealthy politicians and sycophants live lives of unimaginable luxury and most of the populace scrabbles for basic survival.

And the middle class, many of whom were emotionally manipulated by those same politicians to vote liberally, is fleeing the state. Unfortunately, those who vote liberal because they “care” are too stupid to realize that it is their voting choices—their generosity with other people’s money and “compassion” for the people invading our borders—that made the situation in CA deteriorate so badly. They just take those stupid beliefs to wherever they flee to, and make THAT place a hellhole.

I pray that sanity returns to CA sometime in the near future. It was a beautiful state, and I would love to return some time. But not if the liberal destruction of everything that was worthwhile continues.

Got the same thing after moving to Arizona for 4 years, DO NOT waste your time responding through the Mail or Fax, it will REQUIRE a Phone Call, My Accountants and I both tried the Mail way. Just more threatening letters and notice of intent to SEIZE/LEVY. Once I got through to a real person I merely had to fax my Fed and State Returns from when I lived in Arizona and it was fixed that day.
