A few years ago my wife attended a 4 day seminar for state representatives for the Celebrate Recovery Ministry in Lynchburg, Va. I went along for the ride, and spent most of each day sitting in a Panera Bread restaurant and worked on my novel. The Panera was located on Liberty University’s campus. The place was always crowded with students - especially during lunch. I have a habit of casually glancing at people/groups as they begin to eat to see if they pray. While in the Panera in my neighborhood outside Columbus, Ohio, you might see 1 in 10-15 people pray before eating. Those few days in Lynchburg, I saw young college students pray at least 2/3 of the time. Something that has stuck with me 3-4 years later.
I was born and raised in Lynchburg and I live ten miles outside the city now. Liberty students are some of the best kids around.
I wouldn’t worry about LU. My in-laws, who know the Falwell family, say they have every t crossed and i dotted. Plus they’re all prayed up. ;)
