Wayne LaPierre, the National Rifle Association's executive vice president and perhaps the gun lobby's most visible figure, has a penchant for invoking fear and paranoia in order to convince people that gun ownership is key to physical safetydespite an increasing number of studies that prove the very opposite.
Ahead of the NRA's annual convention this weekend, Everytown, the gun-safety coalition backed by former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, has released a video to demonstrate just how ridiculous LaPierre's signature fear-mongering tends to get. The video, which features kids adorably rattling off a handful of the NRA executive's quotes, is part of the group's larger effort to expose the lobby's tactics coined "Stop Crazytown."
Watch below:
Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are ruined. — Patrick Henry

but hey Mother Jones never killed anyone......
Wait...
WHAT?

They’re soooo right! Guns *aren’t* the key to safety and security... (until you need one.)
42Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. 43Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. 44Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. 45And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. 46Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? 47He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.
Of course they aren’t. But they are a fine tool when properly applied to open or close doors.
“former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, has released a video to demonstrate just how ridiculous LaPierre’s signature fear-mongering tends to get.”
Fear-mongering. Mmm hmmm. The Leftists know all about scaring low information voters and small chil’run.

Here’s a link to the youtube video so you don’t have to give MJ the hit.
I already did that if you click on the picture in my post.
That is the reason that Bloomberg has unarmed body guards, right? Just like Obama, just like Biden, just like Jerry Brown, just like
That poor doggie drownded!!
ya, now that Rolling Stone has been discredited, I’m getting all of my news from Mother Jones.....
Wow, if Mother Jones thinks these comments are paranoid, we really do have a failure to communicate. What Mother Jones believes will convince people of the NRA’s stupidity will more likely convince people of the NRA’s common sense. Thank God for freedom of speech so everyone can decide for themselves.
They’re not real keen on the 1st Amendment either.
There is another video bouncing around that shows a “gun store” in downtown NYC. But all the guns have tags on them stating that each gun once belonged to Adam Lanza or some other infamous murderer.
The “salesman” describes a Colt .45 Peacemaker as a .22 that Lanza used in the massacre.
Garbage all. But there is quite a large PR attack on the 2nd right now.
No less than Bill Clintoon credited the NRA for making the difference in defeating Algore for the presidency.
“Sign the climate change bill or we will shoot this dog!”
