Maybe nothing bad will get done while power is out. Maybe this should be a permanent thing.

How long until it is publicly suggested that the Tea Party is responsible for the outage?

Explosion causes massive power outage in DC, Md.
http://www.wusa9.com/story/news/local/2015/04/07/power-outage/25411283/
An explosion at a Maryland power plant is to blame for a region-wide power outage that has impacted the White House, the Capitol, the University of Maryland and other buildings in D.C. and Maryland on Tuesday afternoon, according to an official.
D.C. Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management spokeswoman Robyn Johnson told the Associated Press that the outage affected 8,000 customers in the District.
Southern Maryland Electric Company (SMECO)’s outage map shows approximately 21,832 customers without power. Spokesperson Tom Denison says the outage is due to a transmission line problem. We’re told that the plant where the transmission line failed is located on Ryceville Road in Mechanicsville.

We are being governed by nincompoops.
(and sad to say, they aren’t all democrats)
How many billions or trillions of dollars have been wasted on alternate energy scams in the last six years?
And these idiots don’t even have back-up power systems in their own buildings?
It must be that none of the politicians has a brother-in-law in the business in the D.C. area.

I was just watching the power outage news alert on TV when the screen went blank.
No power at all in my place. I called the utility (Duke Energy) but couldn't get through.
The outage covered a whole neighborhood in my part of Pasco County, Florida.
I couldn't believe the coincidence between here and DC....i.e., mutual outages
Power just came back on....
Good thing I'm not superstitious.
