So Columbia is saying that if you commit libel and defamation of character, and your article is an almost total lie about an alleged set of violent criminal acts, then you should stay on board?
And here's the money quote:
When asked by reporters why no one was fired in the wake of the investigation, Mr. Coll said he didnt feel it was Columbias place to make such a recommendation because the report didnt find examples of dishonesty in the newsroom.
WTF???

Ruining people’s lives to push a false narrative is a-okay in liberal journalism

That shows how low the bar is at Rolling Stone.
To: Fractal Trader
Of course not. The fireable offense would be to contradict an editor who had his facts wrong and you went to tell him/her that the piece they wrote was incorrect.

Also,
Isn’t it the hallmark of a reporting job to check and verify sources???
Like maybe, they might have found that there was no party on the data specified in the article, and that the alleged chief perpetrator, “Drew”, did not exist???

Wait til they start writing checks, then watch the firing

Semantics, semantics. Meaningless.
If you don't fire anybody, then there were no "fireable errors."

In the inevitable libel lawsuit, not firing anyone makes Rolling Stone look even more culpable. Get ready to pony up the dough, Rolling Stone.
