And the biggest joke, if you cut your usage, they will hike the wate RATE, to make up for the “lost revenue”....

This event actually occurred in 2014 and not 2015. The idiot town officials of Glendora reversed themselves once the TV station ran this story. Ain’t government bureaucracy grand?

THIS is the pathetic state of journalism today.

Right there they were presented with the opportunity but balked at doing an investigative report on who sent the letter and why.

Absolutely laughable reporting.

I have no sympathy for Californians and blame them for my predictably-high food prices; this is ALL their own fault.

California — the land of fruit and nuts. I thought they had a water shortage....so the family decided not to waste water...isn’t that a good thing?

Back during the electricity shortage under Gov. Gray Davis, there were stories about people getting fined for hanging their clothes out to dry in the sunshine.

The ruling class didn't want their condo buildings looking like tenements.

A few years ago in Glendale, CA people were fined for having artificial lawns. The authorities said fake grass had toxic runoff when it rained.

"Ain’t government bureaucracy grand?"

And how about the news report which 'kicks the wasp's nest' without reporting the outcome. Thank you for supplying that part of the story.

We own our own home on 1/3 of an acre. We have a clothesline in one part of our yard that we don’t use. It’s behind our garage. I use it all the time.
I asked hubby to put up a clothesline because our electric rates in the summer here are out of this world. Has saved me a ton of money but our rates just keep going up.
Shaking my head
