What is Marriage?

Marriage is not about sex, not about husbands or wives, not about family, not about social justice, not about religion, not about love, not about friendship, not about insurance...

Marriage is about kids.. kids need a base, kids need protection..

No kids, marriage becomes a ceremony.. or a tradition..
Gays getting married is an oxymoron.. literally..

Well.i would say it is about sex... heterosexual sex.. in that it is a rational impulse build in for reproduction...marriage is a higher order concept to assure each person investment in reproduction is protected.. the male want to be confident the child is his.. the female wants to be sure the male remains and protects the children and is not just planting seeds and leaving to play the numbers

The homosexual impulse seem to have no rational reason... you don't even need.to look at it from a religious perspective...even from an evolution perspective its illogical....if sex has no practical purpose it an impulse that has no benefit evolution wise
