But seriously, now...I have to agree with you in that ST's efforts to protect the would-be donors to this particular cause from self-induced financial harm bordered on hysterical mania...almost as if he was mental patient who neglected to take his medicine.

What made the whole thing so comical was that here he was, screeching at the top of his voice about how this could be a scam, when one only needed about five minutes of investigation in the form of reading a couple of websites (which he himself apparently failed to do; otherwise, why all the panic) to determine that donating $10.00 or some similar amount presented essentially no risk to anyone so inclined.
