He had tinted windows on his windshield. That is illegal in most states. Heavy tinted windows in windshields are a safety hazard. They cause the view for the driver to be distorted and it also doesn’t let LEO see inside the vehicle during stops. It is a safety issue.

How would a cop know what was going on in the backseat the tint was so heavy he couldn’t see in?

In most instances the ticket is a summons to show that the tint was removed. The fine and case is dropped when the owner shows that the tint is removed.

Remove the tint. Driving isn’t a right it is a privilege.

Driving may be a privilege, but traveling isn’t, it’s a right and exercisable under the conveyances in common use at the time.
