"But Americans don't trust Tehran, with a bipartisan majority saying that Congress should have to approve any agreement,..."

Ambiguous. It should be written something like the following. But Americans don't trust Tehran, with a bipartisan majority saying that approval should be subject to a congressional vote.

Misleading title. It gives an appearance that Americans believe that Congress should agree with the Iran nuke deal.

Senate already did,100-0. So many holes in the resolution that Swiss cheese would look like a safer barrier for Nascar.

So if we get nuked and American idiots say it is Ok, then we should stand down? What about the willing?

Our government is completely gelded.

Time to secede

36 yrs ago when James Earl Carter Jr (along with the Brits & French) supported Khomeini to power, he took a huge gamble. Mostly out of sheer ignorance.

Shortly after Khomeini seized power in Iran, he said “AMERICA CAN’T DO A DAMN THING”.

35 yrs later, seems Obama is ensuring Khomeini was correct.

‘These polls are stupid. Are they polling people who know what an “Iran” is? Do those polled know what the situation is in the middle east? Do they even understand that treaties must be ratified by the Senate?’

I don’t think they do. Probably the same ones that voted for the illegal the last time. Maybe the same as voted for him the first. Ain’t no cure for stupid.

I agree - awful way to phrase it. Something like this would have been clearer...

“Americans say, any Iran treaty must go through Congress for ratification”

That headline could be re-written for clarity.

This agreement is liable to cause a regional war. Then they’ll just blame it on Bush.

Very bad title. Made it sound like the American’s say that Congress should approve of the agreement...meaning that they like the agreement and want congress to ok.

...

Yep. And 4 out 5 FReepers only read the title before posting. I do it myself sometimes.
