Won’t the Cubans listing their homes be in trouble?
After all they’re engaging in......CAPITALISM!
It’s OK if the government gets its (big) cut. In fact, maybe the Cuban government has encouraged the whole thing!
Not necessarily. Many Cubans already open their homes for travelers to pay & stay with the full knowledge of the government. The govt does not care so long as they get their cut. At least in my limited experience, the people who rent their homes keep meticulous records to keep the govt off their backs.
