I once worked in materials department of a major refrigeration company, which served mainly WalMart.

When ordering parts for their units I was told to forget the price list for Walmart, as they tell US what they will pay, and that’s it. If we don’t concur, we could lose the Walmart account.

They do that to a lot of suppliers, so they’re a definite force in the marketplace, however, there is one thing they can’t do, and that’s to force people to shop there.

This company has ruined many small businesses throughout the USA. In our city, it became nearly a ghost town about a year after Walmart arrived. The local merchants just couldn’t compete.

Companies who get that big and cocky talk themselves into believing that they are an arm of the government.

Remember, Hillary used to be on their board of directors. That goes to their “judgment” and ideology.

Funny, when Walmart opened in my small town of 2,800 in 1975 not one other business went south. Every grocery store, pharmacy, hardware, auto parts store, etc. are still there to this day along with Walmart.
