The largest labor organization in the United States on Tuesday launched a national immigration training plan called "We Rise!" to help Hispanics take advantage of the immigration relief measures announced by President Barack Obama last November.
The effort is designed to reach, mobilize and organize immigrant workers in their workplaces and in their communities.
The AFL-CIO on Tuesday in Washington began preparing representatives who have arrived from all over the country to support and teach undocumented workers how to request protection under Deferred Action, or DACA, for children born in the United States and under DAPA for parents of permanent residents.

The AFL-CIO must work with state and federal lawmakers to propose an immigration amendment to the Constitution to the states. And if the states choose to ratify the amendment, then the feds will actually have the constitutional authority that they need to regulate, tax and spend for immigration purposes and the AFL-CIO will be a hero.
Note that the reason that constitutionally indefensible federal immigration laws are in the books now is attributable mainly to the ill-conceived 17th Amendment imo, state lawmakers foolishly giving up their voices in Congress by ratifying that amendment.
The 17th Amendment needs to disappear.
Not long ago this was considered a form of treason. Definitely ILLEGAL to “support and teach” illegals how to game our system.
