Abu-Jamal, 60, is a former Black Panther serving life in prison for the 1981 murder of white Philadelphia Officer Daniel Faulkner. His conviction was upheld through years of appeals, but he has gained international support for his claim that he’s the victim of a racist justice system. A federal appeals court threw out his death sentence in 2008, citing flawed jury instructions. …

I suggest they do not treat him and let nature run its course.

I say let bygones be bygones, and I’m willing to take the first step. Anyone want to go in with me on a box of chocolates?

I hear a Black Mamba bite is good for treating diabetes. 100% cure rate.

Just you wait... The howler monkeys on the left are going to start screaming for “compassionate release”, and Obama has a year-and-three-quarters to give it.

Remember Abdelbeset Ali Mohmed al Megrahi, the convicted Lockerbie bomber, who was release by the Scots because he was going to die “within a few days”? He was greeted like a conquering hero in Libya. That SOB lived over two years before he died!

I agree. This is why I don’t get the notion that the death penalty costs more than life imprisonment. Prisoners demand, and get, everything provided for them and we taxpayers have to pay for it.

Obama has zero authority over this case. Mumia was convicted in state, not federal court.

Fortunately, Officer Faulkner doesn’t have to worry about eating too much sugar.

Obama can't do a damn thing for Mumia -- except, perhaps, send him a "care package".

Obama's pardon authority extends only to federal crimes. Mumia was convicted in a state court.

Won’t stop Obama if he wants to do it; it’d be yet another stolen power, if nobody stops him.

Obama can't pardon him directly. But PA has a Democrat governor who can be pressured or bribed to issue a pardon.
