My thoughts are that Iran will coordinate at least three ships that are capable of firing a rocket straight up. One on each coast (to include the Gulf Coast). The rocket will then detonate in the air. The resulting EMP will wreak havoc and death.
They been launching rocket from ships in the Caspian Sea for years.
Why bother with a rocket?

I’m not sure about that - they want to see dead bodies in the streets not the resulting carnage from an EMP.
