Master Sgt. Mark Allen was paralyzed by a sniper’s bullet during a mission to find Bowe Bergdahl in Afghanistan back in 2009. Allen can’t speak and needs continual care as result of being shot in the head. Along with millions of other Americans, his wife Shannon wants- and deserves- an explanation. Much attention has been given to the questionable trade of five Taliban commanders who were imprisoned in Gitmo by the Obama administration to retrieve Bergdahl, despite clear and obvious suspicions surrounding the events that led to Bergdahl’s disappearance. But not enough attention has been given to the lives of the soldiers who were injured or lost as a result of trying to retrieve Bowe Bergdahl. The soldiers who died were Private First Class Morris Walker, Staff Sergeant Clayton Bowen, Staff Sergeant Kurt Curtiss, Second Lieutenant Darryn Andrews, Private First Class Matthew Martinek, and Staff Sergeant Michael Murphrey.
