Former Cardinals outfielder Curt Ford said Thursday he may move away from the St. Louis area in disgust after being punched in an allegedly unprovoked, race-related attack at a gas station.
“I’m going to let the authorities handle this situation, but I’ve had enough of St. Louis,” Ford said in a phone interview Thursday. “You hear about this kind of stuff happening, and I always knew it existed because of my previous experience working here in St. Louis, but you try to keep away from it, and there is just no way you can do that unless you stay inside like a hermit.

I am sensing, however, that the Ferguson-style "protesters" are not winning support in the general population.
Quite the opposite.
Curt Flood died in 1997, I liked his line in that Ken Burns Baseball special:

Seems every time some Black is offended or ‘dissed, the charge of using a racial slur is hurled. Amazing how often that is done.
Moreover, it seems every time some Black assaults a White person, the “he-used-a-racial-slur” charge is hurled as a way to mitigate and/or excuse Black on White violence. . .you know, because all Whites are raaaccciiisssst.
He’s not making it up. However, I don’t think it’s that prevalent in the St. Louis area, I think he’s overreacting. There are idiots everywhere, and many of them are black.
On the linked page there is a story of a White man that was attacked and beaten on the Metro by 3 black men. Surprisingly, races of the victim and perps described though, of course, no motive was given.
James Street died about a year and a half ago.
Curt Flood died in 1997. I don’t know who this Curt Flood is, but he isn’t the former Cardinal player from the 60’s.
Just the knockout game in reverse — but this will get more media attention
Curt Ford was the man assaulted....not Curt Flood.
