I can see what Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been doing ... he's been removing the non-essential items from being used against Israel in the near future, as Israel starts battling it out on MAJOR ISSUES. He's already blocked some building in East Jerusalem, and now he's releasing the tax revenues which were due to go to the Palestinian Authority. He's getting things lined up!

Israel freezing construction in East Jerusalem neighborhood [Netanyahu]
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3271878/posts

EXCLUSIVE: Some 1,500 new housing units Har Homa on hold due to political sensitivity, Netanyahu’s office presses pause on discussions.

Israel is freezing construction of 1,500 new housing units in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Har Homa, beyond the Green Line, despite Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s election eve declaration that building in Jerusalem would continue regardless of international pressure.

The massive construction plan in Har Homa has been suspended “for neither planning nor professional reasons,” Ynet has learned.

The Ministry for Construction and Housing and Jerusalem municipality confirmed that two critical planning discussions set for the coming week on advancing the construction have been canceled for unknown reasons.

Planning officials familiar with the details of the plan told Ynet that the program is not being advanced due to the political sensitivity and that there had been no approval from the Prime Minister’s Office to hold the planning discussions.

IDF warns: Freeze in Palestinian funds could fuel West Bank unrest
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3271216/posts

IDF fear that if Israel continues to sanction Palestinians economically, it could backfire, leading to riots if not new uprising in West Bank.

Economic sanctions implemented by Israel against the Palestinian Authority could backfire, top IDF officials warned Monday, saying the pushback from the Palestinian street could lead to unrest, or even an uprising in the West Bank.

Israel is currently holding NIS 2.5 million in Palestinian Authority tax funds, a move it took in retribution for unilateral Palestinian actions in the diplomatic arena, like their attempt to attain statehood through a UN Security Council resolution and their accession to the Rome Statute, which cleared the way for an inquiry into alleged Israeli war crimes at the ICC.

Ynet has learned that IDF officials have recently presented the political echelons with the possible security ramifications for Israel’s economic sanctions. According to army officials, growing economic tensions in the Palestinian market in the West Bank served as a catalyst for riots and even terror attacks, breaking the relative calm the West Bank has enjoyed in recent years.

Actually, that’s more applicable to Hamas, which neither Israel or the USA will give money to.

However with the Palestinian Authority, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu actually asks Congress to keep up certain essential aid to them because of the PA providing civilian and security services, which the IDF would be required to give if the PA didn’t. That takes the problem off Israel’s hands!
