Sean Penn Watches ISIS Beheading Videos To Understand ‘Real Violence'
Breitbart News Big Hollywood ^ | 25 Mar 2015 | by DANIEL NUSSBAUM

In an interview with the UK Daily Telegraph this week, actor Sean Penn explained that he watches beheading videos made by the Islamic terrorist group ISIS in order to see and understand “real violence.”

“The problem is we are not seeing enough of real violence,” Penn told the paper. “We are being anesthetized when you don’t see the horror of war. In the Sixties, we grew up with the horror of Vietnam on our television screens every day. Today we have become anesthetized. The American news channels did this with the Iraq war; they wouldn’t show what it was about, they wouldn’t show the caskets coming home.”

Of the ISIS videos, Penn added: “Uh huh, I’ve watched them. And anyone who sees them and claims that they were anesthetized by violent movies, that they weren’t horrified by what they saw, on the most primal level, is intellectually dishonest or existentially unpresent.”

Penn, currently starring in Pierre Morel’s “geriaction” movie The Gunman, also told the Telegraph that, perhaps somewhat surprisingly, he had no gripes with Clint Eastwood’s Iraq war film American Sniper.

Penn drew a parallel between Sniper and the anti-war films The Deer Hunter and Apocalypse Now, saying that audiences will invariably become “stimulated” by them.

“Is that an argument against Apocalypse Now and The Deer Hunter? Not to me,” Penn said. “People will react to films in different ways. Some moron with a gun might watch Taxi Driver and think he should shoot a politician. I think puritanism is the source of the problem. Nobody glorified violence like John Wayne, and they don’t pick on that stuff.”

Is that the same half-wit who rants about violent gun-owners all the time?

I think Sean should go pay ISIS a visit so that he can understand them first-hand.

Penn is one of the gayest guys around.

This is an excerpt of Penn meeting with a couple of South African “sources” (whatever that means) in Venezuela, Penn appears to think that he is the tough guy at the table because he ordered hard liquor and these two professionals are drinking water, after all he has played a soldier in the movies.

“Call it irksome. Call it what you will, but a source is a source. We exchanged greetings by way of grunts. I took a seat and ordered Johnny Walker Black. It had been years since I ordered Johnny Walker Black. Pathetically I might have wanted to be one of the boys for a moment. They ordered a bubbly water a piece, and it was on. I was Al Capone, motherfucker, and they were a pair of Perrier pansy John Wayne’s. “Whatcha got for me?”

Uninterestingly, they turned out to be a couple of gents, South African though they were. In practice, their job in Venezuela was logistical. One, organized the patrolling of waterways by their company, contracted by the Venezuelan government to aid in drug interdiction. The other strategized jungle patrols on the Colombian border.”

“actor Sean Penn explained that he watches beheading videos made by the Islamic terrorist group ISIS in order to see and understand “real violence.””

In the article Penn talks about viewers being “stimulated” by on screen violence. I think Penn is one sick slime ball. He watches Christian children being beheaded because it stimulates him.

“Show him the piles of dead bodies from his beloved Communist regimes.”

He’ll just blame that on the mccarthy era and reagan.

“Hey, mccarthy scared them into doing that.”

Pretty much every movie he makes has guns solving the problem. Without guns he would be driving a 75 Pinto.

Pray America is waking

IMHO, somebody who believes he can grasp the horror of war by watching footage on TV is a fool.

I read the entire article, and I think Penn’s comments are right on the mark.
