Memorizing answers is also known as studying. Multiplication tables, using slide rules, log tables - all require memorization, personal sacrifice and sheer grit. No one's born with the knowledge of the major players at the Battle of Hastings, the various types of geologic formations, and so on. It has to be read repeatedly and committed to memory. In work settings, employers don't have time for "I'll get back to you, in a while". It's "give me what you've got, now - or find another job". This preparedness and hard core commitment to getting the job done is why the Orient has been charging ahead despite not having been particularly blessed with natural resources.
It's why the "orient" has the worst educational system in the world, and thousands of years of history supplying very little evidence to show otherwise.
By the way, aren't you the fellow who says we should not support Christians in the middle east? And yet you want us to support asian causes, right?
Dedication, hard work, and aptitude is what gets the job done.
These Asian kids have good parents that push the dedication and hard work.
I’m not asian and I was accepted into everyone of those schools in NYC (there were only 4 back then).
There was maybe 50% asian but lots of smart black, white, jewish, and hispanic kids too.
The school was forced to let a very few local neighborhood kids in, who robbed kids of lunch money in the stairway and assaulted teachers until they were booted out.
Of course getting to school without being beaten and robbed by a pack of feral black savages was a neat trick, never happened to me but I saw it happen a lot to other kids.
Somebody ought to take DiBlasio and his commie crew on a helicopter ride over the East River and boot his red communist ass out the door.
Commies destroy EVERYTHING they touch.
Give them no quarter.
Thomas Edison worked 18 hours per day and he got over 1000 patented inventions in a time when we didn't have the Internet nor Google
