I campaign for candidates - I have never seen such a grass-roots excitement for a Presidential candidate in a long time.

RE:”And third: While the “purest” conservative candidate rarely wins, that assumes a divided right. Cruz may end up running in a field where the other candidates are scrabbling over support from the Chamber of Commerce, Wall Street, and establishment dollars while he could corner the populist talk radio base. “

The GOP primaries are open to independents in many states.

1.) The base is the one who determines the win. Whether they vote or don't vote.

2.) He is right on all the issues and all the principles that the Republican base hold dear.

3.) He beat the pants off of RINO-Establishment David Dewhurst in a highly contested election.

Nuff said.

I sort of think he’s pain in the butt as well, but he’s a smart one, and a lot of important politicians have been people who were willing to break a few eggs, as the saying goes.

Cruz is clearly very very intelligent, and has real principles, and is able to articulate them.

I think if the Conservative movement wants to (finally) get their candidate to be the Republican nominee, that they need to coalesce around one name, and I see no reason that name shouldn’t be Cruz.

He may not check every one of your required boxes, but if there are 6 issues you really care about, and he is with you on 5 of them, you should not splinter off and find the one no-hope congressman who agrees with you on all of them.

Let the press and the dem’s and the liberals crucify Cruz and watch him rise to the presidency. What a glorious day that will be.

Cruz is our best hope for restoring the rule of law and taming Fedzilla.
The Cheap Labor Express has spent millions and will spend millions more to get an amnesty candidate. They wanted Jebster, but will settle for Rubio or others.

Not ‘could’ win, WILL win.

The sleeping giant has finally been awakened.

Who do you think will be his running mate? I’d like to see Tom Cotton.

The last perfect candidate was killed by the government about 2,000 years ago.

Take a good long look at where "Establishment Republicans" ALWAYS take us.

And on another note:

It is both refreshing and exciting to see a candidate who stands firm and does not resemble a schmoo. Go Ted!

It’s the sort of thing that endears him to the right, but may make him a lot of enemies in the process – but when has Ted Cruz cared about that? He’s Sonny Corleone, and he’s here for a fight.

?

Leave the gun, take the cannoli.

Walker needs to punt. He is a nice guy but it is time to clear the decks.

I think he has a shot at getting more evangelicals to vote and turn out in huge numbers compared to the others. If this religious base actually votes, instead of staying at home like they usually do, then you could win a lot of the states in a landslide.
