Not only that, he fought tooth and nail to stop the impeachment, and demonized his "fellow" Republicans for pursuing it.

Peter King is so far out in the Left flank of the GOP that he makes Republican liberals like McCain and Romney look like Calvin Coolidge.

doesn’t provide leadership

Cruz does provide leadership, it's just leadership for the part of the Republican Party that King resents. Cruz is on his way to becoming the spokesman for what's left of the GOP's conservative wing, i.e. the counterweight to the Boehners, the McCains, and the Kings who represent the RNC establishment and will be 100% behind Jeb Bush in the election.

Many years ago I used to think Peter King wasn’t a bad guy, but now know he’s just another liberal Republican.
