Times have changed.
I used to get on a City bus to travel from Windsor to Detroit, and return. I could spend a care free day at Tiger Stadium or attend a Concert. That was many years ago. Zero hassle.

Now, I travel for work.
I thought about that Nexxus(?)program, but backed out when I learned they needed a Retina Scan.

For me, the Border Agent conversation is not a big time waster. The PITA are the TSA types who scan you, then look through your luggage.
Those folks have zero consideration for connecting flights or meetings that you must attend

LOL.
We live in California (my home state) but between 1998 and 2000 I visited my (now) wife in Windsor, but flew in to Detroit, so I know whereof you speak. It was never really that bad in either direction.

But after 2001, I am not looking forward to that trip again. My wife used to travel often for work, and in fact was stuck in St. Luis Mo., on her way back from Mexico, for three days after Sept 11.
