My guess is a fare that White dropped off at terminal B refused to tip him since White was acting/driving erratically. So White drove to the end of the dropoff zone, then decided to confront the fare he dropped off to get his tip, and walked back to terminal B with the machete and wasp spray he normally kept in his car.
Completely plausible.
