Two parents told Fox & Friends Thursday morning that a Black History Month event at their daughters Washington, D.C. school turned anti-cop when an act addressed Ferguson, to the point that they pulled their daughter.
Their daughter was singing in the choir (featuring a Motown medley, natch), when mother Rebecca said she noticed the inclusion of slogans from the Ferguson and Eric Garner protests.
Everywhere that we looked were high school students wearing shirts that said black lives matter, I cant breathe, she said, in the clip first spotted by TPM. As I was flipping through the program it had hands up dont shoot. It had quite a few different acts that were what I was worried were going to be quite controversial.
When the first act began, students start coming out on stage saying, Im from Ferguson, Missouri. I was told to put my hands up. I did and I was shot seven times. My name is Michael Brown. I immediately realized that this was not something that was a good idea for my daughter to be seeing.
Her husband Charles, a deputy sheriff, said the family had no warning of the content of the program.
My daughter had serious questions as to Why do cops shoot black people? Why do cops shoot good people? If they do that, does that make them a bad cop? Daddy, youre a cop, does that make you a bad cop? Charles said. It took me off-guard. We really had to have a discussion with our daughter in great detail about current events we should never have had.
Really having a discussion with your daughter in great detail about current events was probably the exact point of the program.

Race relations under this racist President will set us back for many generations. All of his minions are repeating this lie, over and over. When you repeat a lie long and hard enough....
Chief criminals here
1) Obama
2) Holder
3) MSM
Administrators and teachers involved should be fired.
But they won’t be.......the Marxists have our public education system by the throat. This is what they believe and they will work until their dying days to indoctrinate your children in their ideology.
That's a lie. The point of including fraudulent information, was to confuse and change the facts of this case, thus destroying support for law enforcement.
This is an act of civil disobedience. It's undermining law enforcement for political, not justifiable reasons.
If the officers do something wrong, I think discussion in class is much more wise than a presentation on stage. In class you get to ask questions and make comments giving a much better chance to address truth instead of misrepresentations that can't be challenged.
The producer of this program should be fired.
What really makes me mad is white liberals and other apologists who should know better. I can understand blacks for voting for Obama in ‘08, but having guilty white liberals there really made me puke.
purpose of this...to incite racial violence.
blacklivesmatter are gonna get a white person killed and it will be all obama/sharptons fault.
Liberals again promoting race hate.
This sounds like another good reason for us to send our kids to PUBLIC SCHOOL, along with freeing up money so we can buy our trucks and boats - which is WHAT REALLY COUNTS in life.
Will all of that fit on a Starbucks cup?
Mmmmmmm, mmmmmm, mmmmm.
I'm pretty sure I am not alone in attempting to judge people by their character, instead of their skin color.
There was a pretty large majority of people, of all races, who thought that was logical, fair, and something worth expending extra effort to achieve.
I refuse to blame all my fellow citizens, some of whom are black, for the sickening antics of progressive communist Democrats.
So 98% of black Democrats voted for a black Democrat.
Duh.
98% of white Democrats also voted for the black Democrat.
(some say 115% of them did, but that's another story)
Less than 50% of eligible voters, bothered to vote.
No reliable statistical racial breakdown is ever given for the large “none of the above” non-voting group.
