We were all teenagers once. And none of us planned “mass casualty events.”
I think the dad is trying a little too hard to ‘play nice’ with a potential mass murderer. This may be the father’s way of channeling his rage and fear into some more congenial, and acceptable form. I have mixed feelings when I see widows standing in a court room hugging the person who may have killed their spouse of child.
Reminds me of a Jodi Picoult book I read, “Nineteen Minutes”. A very worthy, riveting read and gives a different look to a tragic issue.
Whether or not this man is a Christian, he never would have thought of it nor would anyone else had it not been for Christ’s Sermon on the Mount.
My heart is with him on this.
For the love of pete! Where in the heck is Edmond? Is it too much to ask that you tell us?
I think his letter is *really* for the other teens out there who might be having similar thoughts, who haven’t been caught yet. I hope his letter reaches them.
