The White House didn’t put out a statement ( I’m in the WH press corps list) however, John Kerry called him: The State Department said the following “Secretary Kerry called the prime minister this morning to congratulate him. Given there is an ongoing government formation process, they did not discuss substantive issues. So the purpose of the call was to congratulate him on the election.”
That may have been a better headline! Thanks
