This headline does not seem to represent the facts...
“Authorities have identified the 26-year-old fatally shot on Saturday as Aaron Siler, of Kenosha. Police say he had armed himself with a weapon before he was shot by Officer Pablo Torres. Siler was wanted on a felony warrant and led police on a vehicle chase and a foot pursuit before he was shot.”
“Siler’s friend Rocky Garcia tells WGTD radio that Siler knew he was wanted by police and boasted to friends that he wouldn’t surrender quietly.”
Busy guy.
Maybe he’s the right man for the job.
Then again, maybe Officer “Pablo Torres” is just another “White Hispanic” agitating for blood...

I have an acquaintance from high school who joined the police force in a neighboring town. In high school he liked to fight, liked to pick on those smaller than him, and was generally a jerk.
Within a year of joining the police he had shot and killed a man and was ruled justified as the man was wielding a knife. Within 5 years he had shot another man, though didn’t kill him. Again it was ruled justified. While both shoots may have been legitimate, from the nature of this man and word from those that know him well, I can say he wanted to shoot them. Through word of mouth I have heard of countless other instances of thuggery which did not make the news.
My point is that while the cop in this article may not have been unjustified I certainly think that the public, not the police force, should take a long hard look at the mentality of any cop who has shot two people. There may not be a fire here but there is certainly some smoke.
The officer needs to find a safer town.........

On Sunday, police charged 20-year old Jeffrey Williams with shooting two Ferguson police officers. The officers are alive and recovering. There is cause for rejoicing, unless you’re attorney and radio show host Lizz Brown, who thought that was a sideshow to be quickly dismissed.
