HARM EL-SHEIKH, Egypt (AP) U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said he would be willing to talk with Syrian President Bashar Assad to stem that nation's violence.
In an interview with CBS News, Kerry said the U.S. is pushing for Assad to seriously discuss a transition strategy to quell the Arab country's four-year civil war.
"We have to negotiate in the end," Kerry said. "And what we're pushing for is to get him to come and do that, and it may require that there be increased pressure on him of various kinds in order to do that. We've made it very clear to people that we are looking at increased steps that can help bring about that pressure."

You could get a chip implanted in your brain to solve that problem, easy-peasy.
Have they considered maybe Assad DOESN’T WANT the muslim brotherhood to take over his country and toss his ass in some prison? (or worse)
Or a rat cage put over my face.
...what and tell them also, like you told the Iranians that Congress couldn’t override an executive action by the President???
Lurch should go into hiding for a long, long, long, time!
Considering the US caused most of the destruction in Syria, killing thousands, using Sarin gas, and creating terrorism, now Kerry wants to talk to Assad? Why? To apologize for all the Syrians we helped kill?
Yes, lets sit and chat with someone you created a civil war to oust, tried to get your nation to bomb, and created ISIS to get at him.
Im sure that will be a productive conversation.
