Is this in violation of the terms of surrender in 45? Not that Obama would do anything if it were and not that I blame the Japanese for recognizing our weakness in abiding by the terms and providing military protection and taking steps to defend themselves.
I remember reading how US troops in Germany did not feel bad about bombing or attacking civilian targets or in engaging in pillaging as they felt the German people allowed this to happen. Whatever it is we are headed toward is not good and I view us as just as culpable as the German citizenry in allowing a nation to trip down this road to chaos during our watch.
