House leaders are closing in on a deal to permanently avert cuts in payments to physicians under Medicare, two House aides confirmed Friday.
The deal would offset only about $70 billion of the more than $200 billion cost of making the permanent fix, however, which would likely draw opposition from conservatives that the agreement would bust the budget.

When you and I call silence, but when the Hospital lobby and AMA calls here is $200 billion check. These cuts to Medicare the GOP leadership wants to reverse were part of ObamaCare. The cuts were there to make it appear ObamaCare would cut the deficit. These same groups that are screaming for money were on board for ObamaCare. I would told them to pound sand.

Maybe so, but it's still the seniors who have been hurt the most by the Medicare cuts.
While I'm not happy about the spending, at least it's going to Americans ... unlike all the $ we give to feckin' illegals, not to mention foreign aid.
