I'm glad to see that McCarthy has issued a bit of a Mea Culpa vis a vis Gowdy and his committee - at least on the subject of a subpoena of the server. But he is still hard over on his view that Gowdy should be running a circus instead of an investigation. He is entitled to that opinion of course but Gowdy told us all in advance that he was going to investigate first and hold hearings second. That's his style. Get used to it.

And note that McCarthy wants us to believe that he has some inside knowledge of what the committee has been doing for 8 months. I really doubt that he does. We'll see when Gowdy puts Hillary under oath in a public hearing. That will be a popular show.

And everyone should note that the Hillary EMail scandal is a direct result of the Trey Gowdy probe into Benghazi. One would think that would be enough for McCarthy. Apparently not.

There really is no inside knowledge of what the committee does or has been doing. It has five Democrats that have access to all the information Gowdy has in his capacity as chairman. There might be information undisclosed to the public, but there is no information undisclosed to Hillary and Obama.

Hillary's illegal email system may have remained secret if not for Gowdy, but since it dates back to 2009 it was not a reaction to Benghazi but a proactive effort to shield her from accountability for all the illegal actions she might commit in office.

The real culprit in Benghazi (other than the actual killers whom Obama has no interest in finding) is Obama himself--so the DOJ can't help any investigation into Hillary's role because eventually that leads to Obama's role.

I disagree with McCarthy that this committee investigation can not be run like a normal case for prosecution.

Who the heck is interested in reams of video showing the committee pontificating endlessly on their speculations, without one shred of hard evidence in front of them? THAT would hurt the Republicans and get them the “witch hunt” label firmly adhered to their forehead.

Even baking a cake demands following a procedure that is understandable. Some here can be entertained with noise and style, over substance. Thankfully Gowdy has no intention of becoming an empty handed entertainer.
