Have no use for Rand Paul. He panders to both Conservatives and Libertarians. I would respect him more if he were the one thing or the other.

No thank you. Rand Paul made a big stink about Republicans seeking Voter ID laws in his effort to cozy up to the African-American voters. I live in a red state that constantly goes blue for statewide and presidential elections because of inner city voter fraud. Voter fraud is not insignificant and certainly not appropriate for him to minimize it just for the sake of his personal political goals.
