Here’s how Ted Cruz could win the GOP nomination for president
glennbeck.com ^ | Mar 10, 2015 | Glenn Beck Program

Posted on 03/10/2015 2:01:08 PM PDT by dontreadthis

Last night, author Trevor Loudon joined Glenn for an in-depth discussion on the growth of the progressive movement. In the interview, Loudon said that he believed Ted Cruz could be the leader America needs to lead it away from progressivism and back towards freedom. To secure his nomination, and eventually the presidency, Loudon suggested an unusual strategy: Cruz should name his cabinet and run as a team.

Glen Beck? What is he crying about now? Has he decided if he is Ghandi or the Messiah yet? What about his miracle cure?

It may well work if you can get the right players to sign up.

But a lot of the potential ones may feel it’s far too early to sign on with one candidate. I suspect that’s why it doesn’t happen

Brilliant! I like the idea of Rand as Sec of Treasury, Bolton at Secretary of state...Cruz IS the most Reagan-like, principled conservative who can win. Now that Clinton is likely destroyed her chances, Warren will likely be the left’s nominee...we need a inspirational fighter who has been fighting the left and the establishment like no other. Nobody touches Ted Cruz on that.

Ted Cruz is the only potential Republican candidate who truly believes that the government needs to get out of our business.

If you listen closely to them all you will hear descriptions of what government needs to do for the people, except for Ted Cruz.

We do not need anyone micro-managing our lives.

That makes Ted Cruz the only one who could honestly fill Ronald Reagan's shoes.

Ted Cruz has a record of trouncing an establishment candidate.

Personally, I won’t even vote for Cruz as long as there’s an R next to his name. Don’t bother with the boring old “you should vote for Hillary” BS. Save it for someone who has a deuce left to give. If you’re still voting GOP, you’re part of the problem.

So the Dems pick the weakest one and take him (or her) down.

And every day up until the election, they'll have somebody to attack even if Cruz survives what they throw at him.

Plus, some of the people in Cruz's cabinet will be politicians he defeated to get the nomination, and Cruz will be on record having said some not so nice things about them, and the media will make him answer for that every day.

I’ve had that idea for years...do a little ‘cabinet name-dropping’ during the presidential campaign...who would you like to see in a Cruz cabinet?

It’s a great idea. Except now you have many targets that can take your campaign down.

Do you really want your chances of the Presidency to rest with something Rand Paul might say?

Have you completely discounted the possiblity of Cruz changing the GOP from the inside?

Regarding the difficulty of cleaning up a system now dirty on all levels, don’t overlook the deterrent power of prosecuting and locking up a few key perps.

and

Don’t bother with the boring old “you should vote for Hillary” BS.

The problem with the Ostrich Gambit is that while you are bent over with your head in the sand, your exposed butt is quite available to the public.

But more importantly for you, all of the admirable things listed on your About page will be slowly blown away.
