I think it is UKIP that is taking a stand on immigration (broadly, including from the EU) and making Labour and Conservatives and the Liberal parties take notice. I thought BNP had much lower numbers. Could be wrong.

The BNP are not streong; in fact quite the opposite having split acrimoniously when Nick Griffin was ousted. Similarly the EDL has suffered a major drop in popularity with equally divisive splitting of the ranks into smaller splinter groups. Perhaps you are thinking of UKIP, who have been attracting support from many disparate elements of the political spectrum.
