I think the whole debate is a tradition.

While the debate might be tradition, the disruption might be real.

I’m pretty much convinced that my life proceeds on Daylight time whereas my wife’s proceeds on standard time. We live an hour apart

Back when most energy usage was lights, daylight savings time had a basis.
When most energy usage is computers, HVAC, TVs, dishwashers, etc, the massive schedule change to hopefully save on some lighting isn’t worth it.
