A mother has helped her 24-year-old son become a father by carrying his child as a surrogate. In the procedure, the first of its kind, Anne-Marie Casson, 46, became pregnant using a donor egg fertilised by her son Kyles sperm.
Kyle, gay and single, had wanted to be a father for some considerable time. After surrogacy clinics across the country turned him away, and a female relative who had volunteered to be the carrier developed medical difficulties, Mrs Casson and her husband, Alan, decided she should step in and be the surrogate mother. A family court judge ruled the situation was entirely lawful and Kyle has been allowed to adopt the baby his son but also, legally, his brother.
Lawyers point out that family members are increasingly acting as surrogates in the UK, but the Cassons case is unique: Kyle is the first single man in the country to have a child through surrogacy and the first to use his mother as the carrier. I cried and cried, said Kyle, describing his happiness at his son Miless birth. I could not believe it.
Kyles longing to be a father highlights issues affecting gay men and women but also the one in six heterosexual couples in Britain who have problems conceiving. They will know first-hand the plight of a young person desperate to be a parent. Baby hunger turns a stroll in the park into a torment because of the mummies and daddies pushing their toddlers on swings. It makes dinner-party conversation about good schools painful, and the school-run traffic bitter as well as frustrating. At its worst, baby hunger sours friendships and destroys marriages.

“I’m My Own Grandpa”
And Bob’s your uncle...
And Fanny’s your aunt!
Just....ewwww
She realized that as the mother of a homosexual son, this was the only guarantee she’d be a grandmother.
Well this happens as homosexuals won’t have children the usual way. Expect more of this as homosexuals decide they want to have children.
Its a separate discussion altogether as to whether homosexual lifestyles are really compatible with settled family life. But we are supposed to be liberal and non judgemental about that aspect of things.
Gay and gross!
Disgusting on every possible level!
Obama is a butt baby!
What will he say when this child grows up and asks about his mom.
I always wonder what people say when their kids ask questions. Not just homosexual parents with a missing opposite sex spouse, but also with all this baby mama stuff going on nowadays. How do those mothers explain that they don’t have a dad. Do they even feel its a problem. Are homosexuals concerned that there is an opposite sex parent missing. Does anyone care about how children are raised.
If you want to be gay, be gay. If it only involves consenting adults, I say, go to your closet and gay each other into oblivion. But why do you have to involve children into the situation?
Is what this mother has done okay? Would you say it’s different or the same regarding the decision you discussed earlier with respect to your business?
God help us!
Who’s crazier, the participants, or the society than condones this?
Good questions and ones I’ve thought about.
Least of all, it’s going to make genealogy interesting in the future.
Neither!
I'm a follower of Aristotle's philosophy, and his "ethics" is called "eudaemonism."
The dictionary definition of eudaemonism is ... "the system of ethics that considers the moral value of actions in terms of their ability to produce personal happiness."
Also, the dictionary definition of eudaemonia is ... "happiness; specif.. in Aristotle's philosophy, happiness, the main universal goal, derived from a life of activity governed by reason."
Is there any doubt as to why Aristotle's philosophy is not taught in American schools?
It should be!
Incest at its best.
I was born to the lie that gay people couldnt have children, he says,
Umm, it's not a lie.
