JERSEY CITY -- Hudson County Democrats' chance to show unity in advance of June's primary was upstaged today by reports that Sen. Bob Menendez may face federal criminal charges over his relationship with a major donor.
Democrats, gathered inside the historic Brennan Courthouse on Newark Avenue to unveil their new state Assembly candidates, were stunned by the reports, which dropped just a few hours before they were scheduled to hold their pep rally.

Politickernj.com is reporting that Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop and state Sen. Sandra B. Cunningham have reached a "consensus" to support Denise Ridley, a pharmaceutical employee, to replace Assemblyman Charles Mainor in the 31st Legislative District. Neither Mainor nor Jason O'Donnell, the other incumbent assemblyman in the 31st District, which covers all of Bayonne and the southern part of Jersey City, will be supported for re-election by the Hudson County Democratic Organization. The HCDO is backing former Nick Chiaravaloti, the former state director for Sen. Robert Menendez, to replace O'Donnell.

Menendez must be a common core denier.
I know very little about New Jersey politics, but Steve Fulop, the mayor of Jersey City, has an interesting background. Son of immigrants, worked for Goldman Sachs, joined the Marines and served in Iraq after 911.

Wasn’t there a budding scandal concerning him traveling to Domican Republic for I&I with young girls/boys?
And in dim/MSM fashion was met with a ...yawn.
I watched him on the news last night, he sounds just like Torricelli in his denials...
Drip, drip, drip...
Menendez opposes the Obama deal with Iran.
The WH is out to destroy him.
Jersey, go figger.
