Pelosi shows Democrats how to wield power despite House GOP majority
The Washington Post ^ | March 6th, 2015 | By Sean Sullivan

Nancy Pelosi had a plan. Democrats were outnumbered, obviously, and she no longer had the power to impose her will the way she did when she was speaker of the House. But neither did the current speaker, John A. Boehner (R-Ohio).

With a partial Department of Homeland Security shutdown looming, Pelosi saw a way to torpedo Boehner, and get exactly what she and other Democrats wanted for President Obama. The plan was simple: when Boehner needed her the most, she would not be there for him.

She explained her plan to Senate Minority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) in a private meeting in Reid’s office. He concurred. She encouraged her caucus to reject Boehner’s proposal for a stopgap DHS funding bill, knowing that Boehner could not sufficiently rally his own caucus to pass the bill without Democratic help.

Five days later, Democrats got exactly what they wanted: DHS was fully funded without any rollback of Obama’s executive actions on immigration.

I suggest if the Conservative really want to get rid of Boner and his coterie of corrupt statists, they should ally with Pelosi and vote him from the Speakers chair.

Play the very same dirty game that Boner is playing.

They could always lead the effort the turn the chair back to another Republican later.

BUT, SOMETHING must be done about Boner's traitorous acts.

It is easy to wield power in the minority when the team captains of the majority are both surrender monkeys.

“It is easy to wield power in the minority when the team captains of the majority are both surrender monkeys.”

Or, in other words, it’s easy to wield power as a Democrat in the minority when your opponents in the majority also are a bunch of Democrats.

They are all democrats and traitors.

There are not two separate halves within government where one half seeks to advance government and the other half seeks to curtail government.

To believe that is absurd as there is zero actual evidence of that.

What there is is government. It is all one thing. That’s it, that’s all, nothing else.

How long was it we were told we could not expect the Republicans to win any political battles because they only controlled the house? Please explain to me, if that is true, how is it the Democrats are still driving the agenda, and winning political battles when they don’t control either the House or the Senate?

Pelosi’s not much, but she’s got some really easy material to work with.

Boehner wins big (67%), he brings home the bacon for Cincy.

Not as bulletproof as Pelosi, but pretty strong at home.

Maybe Boehner should ask Arlen Specter(February 12, 1930 – October 14, 2012) what it’s like to be a Democrat

Both Boehner and McConnell have the highest "Hand" on the table, but refuse to play it.

Corruption, treason and blackmail can be the only reasons.
They're just as guilty as Obama and are his co-conspirators and enablers.

I love it. Its like the Dems never lost their majority. Nothing has changed. Nothing. They still get whateve they want. Its hysterical. I am laughing through my tears.

LOL. It was a Washington Insider set up from the get-go. It was planned and executed by Dem and GOPe insiders.

We watched and are watching a play unfold. The goal of which is to subsume liberty and get your money in their pockets. Corruption is a form of treason.

A google search for ‘Pelosi’, ‘Boehner’, and ‘evil’ results in 288,000 reasons why Americans must seek out a good presidential candidate, like the honorable Ted Cruz.

It has nothing to do with Nanny. Boehner is a liberal/corrupt and too many Republicans are liberal/corrupt or stupid. That’s the explanation.

Sooo, are you saying Romney winning in 2012 would have done nothing to stem the advance of government? I wouldn’t have known that since I’ve been told over and over on FR that if I don’t vote for Romney, I’m not a patriot. They’re saying I should vote for Bush in 2016 or else Hillery will be president, but they say they’re for small government. You say Republicans are actually growing the government? I’m so confused.

Not really. Actually, the people who keep voting for these clowns are the reason the GOP is known as the Stupid Party.

We’ve got to stop thinking this way. Boehner and Yurtle has done nothing but play their hand. They’re liberals who keeps getting the “conservative party” to make them their leaders. If that’s not some dealing, I don’t know what is.

And the next time I am told I have to vote force mildly less evil, I will repeat just that!
