The collapse of the GOP can’t really be hidden anymore.
And they aren’t bothering to hide it anymore.
Not a collapse, but a merger. Ongoing for many decades. One-party rule is the goal.

It’s not really a collapse per se. The GOP is a lobbyist supported and driven party now and these issues are low priority to the corporate lobby supporting the GOP.
They’d rather back out of real fights and not rock the boat.
Keep that in mind when trying to assess the machinations of the current Congressional GOP.
Down the road they are going to have a hugely more difficult time selling themselves to the base and GOP voters in general because they just don’t give a damn about the constituents that vote for them. A voter is an enabler to the current GOP, nothing more.
