Bill De Blasio Time: Murders Up 20% in New York City
Frontpage Mag ^ | 03/05/2015 | Daniel Greenfield

Kill Stop and Frisk, attack police for doing their jobs and promote the grievances of criminals… and strangely enough more shootings happen.

The murder rate in New York City has spiked an alarming 20% in the first two months of the year, prompting NYPD brass to rethink strategy to curb the deadly trend.

Since Jan. 1, 54 murders have been recorded in the city, up nine from the same period a year ago, according to the grim stats released Monday.

Shootings have also climbed 20% — with 149 so far in 2015 compared with 126 in the first two months of 2014.

The rise in shootings and murders, as opposed to other forms of crime, indicate a rise in gang activity. Drug dealers and gangs in general are feeling a lot more relaxed about settling their disputes the hard way. And why wouldn’t they? The much reviled Broken Windows policing was supposed to keep them down. De Blasio put a stop to that. Stop and Frisk didn’t solve the problem, but it did help prevent shootings in public by making carrying riskier. Now the risk is gone.

Now Islam will be taught in NYC public schools to show diversity and respect of other religions (IE, Islam only) DeBlasio believes this will make Muslims love NYC.

New York City has taken its rightful place in the “Hope & Change Transformation Parade”.

Meanwhile in gun friendly Detroit they restarted the stop and frisk policy and smarter policing and crime rates are trending downward.

Hey! Maybe De Blasio can borrow a quote from the late DC Mayor-for-Life Marion Barry...

"Outside of the killings, D.C. has one of the lowest crime rates in the country."

“They voted for it.”
“They got it.”

And they’ll vote for it again, and again, and again.

It’s always amazing how people who flee from places with totalitarian regimes many times vote for wannabe totalitarians.

Absolutely amazing.

IMHO

I wouldn't "rethink" anything. DeBlasio promotes chaos in NY City, let him have his chaos.

Gee! Who would’ve thought that crime would rise under those circumstances. And, he’s broadcasting it, almost as if he’s proud of it! Invite the felons into town so we can have a free-for-all!

DeBlasio’s liberal RINO opponent tried to head this off by warning people of a return to the days of David Dinkins (Crown Heights riot and such); unfortunately, so many “normal” people had fled the city since then that barely half of the voters even lived there back then (20 years ago). Of those remaining, most were probably Dinkins supporters anyway; DeBlasio won a landslide without even hiding his Bolshevism or racial politics.

NYC certainly got what it deserves; I hope NJ benefits as much as it did 20 years ago when Dinkins played to the same rabble. A lot of businesses and people with money made their way to northern NJ back then...

When are these criminals going to start obeying gun laws?!?!? This is inexcusable! We need more gun laws so that these criminals will finally start to get the message!

For those with short memories, it was only early
last month that the headline was “NYC goes without
a murder for 11 straight days.” Throw out those days-mostly snow and extreme cold- and the pace is actually greater.

It is so safe in NYC that the mayor built an extra high wall around his home.

They come here for the “Free Shit”, and they vote for anyone who promises them more of the same.
