VOTE AGAINST HIGHER TAXES MARCH 10TH 2015 (Bryant, Arkansas)
The millage tax increase scheduled on March 10th of 4.9 Mills would make the average overall millage rate in Bryant from 37.2 to 42.1 mills. Arkansas already has a 6.5% sales tax, 40.2 cents a gallon on gas, a capital gains tax, & a progressive income tax. Federal taxes, State taxes, local taxes, fees, fines, inflation, and other expenses have increased while pay and benefits have decreased. Newly hired Superintendent Tom Kimbrell, who makes $200,000.00, is guilt-tripping the Bryant taxpayer, who’s average salary is $31,856.00 into paying yet another tax!
The 2,200 seat area & Performing Arts Facility proposed in this tax is not needed due to the Benton Event Center, the Royal Theater, Mills Park, Alcoa Park, Ashley Park, Springhill Park, Plumb Park, Midland Park, the multi-million dollar facilities at Bishop Park, & other facilities near the City of Bryant.
The Bryant School District has “embraced” Common Core, a big government/business education program that has resulted in several problems. Several of the groups that support common core could easily fund the building projects proposed by this school district, but they would rather tax Bryant citizens & other Arkansas taxpayers.
This special election could have scheduled 5 months ago during the November elections and will waste thousands of dollars due to being held 03/10/15. The true reason for the March 10th election date is to minimize voter turnout.

Our new Governor in PA Wolf wants to jack personal income taxes by 20% on the so called wealthier Pennsylvanians. Which means the working class. We need to also have a march on Harrisburg!!

Why in the world can we not STOP these special elections for tax increases? They should be held in conjunction with normal November elections. These special elections cost a fortune to operate, and are designed specifically to control the outcome via voter suppression.
We need to have a national tax revolt. PERIOD.
Simply do not file on April 15th. Deny these thieves any more of our hard earned money.
