Hammond says he was ordered to attend a meeting shortly after the beating and told by CHP chiefs that there was tremendous pressure coming from Washington, D.C., and Gov. Jerry Browns office to get this matter resolved favorably.
Hammond claims he was told, We want you with us on this and we hope you know what you have to do.
The meaning of the statement was clear that the commissioner wanted to fire Andrew and desired that Hammond skew the investigation in favor of the desired result regardless of the facts, the lawsuit alleges.
Don’t you just love dimoKKKRATS. Not.
Now why would Washington be exerting tremendous pressure on the outcome of a local matter in CA?
Because, CHP Officer Daniel Andrew is white and victim Marlene Pinnock is black. Period. Washington doesn't care about anything else. And by 'Washington', I mean Eric Holder.
I find it hard to feel sympathy for officers that have skewed investigation to get ‘correct’ results as well. Sure, maybe this was a fine upstanding officer. But we have all seen videos of cops placing contraband and fabricating evidence against people to cover their own asses.
