That’s extreme. Thank God for that instructor.

If I ever try a (tandem) jump, I want a good healthy dose of valium. It helped with Lasik surgery. If I could get through the first one without a heart attack or such, I could handle it by myself.

Normal training procedures require 5 static line jumps, then five 5 sec. delays, five 10 sec. delays, etc. But if you're just wanting to experience it once, a nice high tandem jump would be the way to go.

As soon as the man started seizing.. I don’t think I took a breathe of air. Very, very frightening. Thank goodness for the instructor who must really know his stuff!

Now I need to drop about 30 more pounds. The max for a tandem is 250. I’m working on it (again). Some of that Atkins stuff seems to help.

I’m not jumping out of anything that’s still flying.

I’m pretty sure the parachute would have opened automatically when the jumper reached a certain altitude.

Some people are adrenaline junkies, some aren’t. Those who aren’t probably have a longer life expectancy. I guess I’m one of the lucky junkies, long since retired (w/ over two hours of freefall logged)

I've worked as a rigger on square rigged ships and in high rise construction.
I was overboard in the Gulf Stream for 45 minutes, seen 30 foot seas from a 32 foot boat..
At some point it's time to stop and watch grandkids grow up.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen that one. I will rectify that shortly, thanks.
