That's an excuse that FB uses. I know people who have pages set up for their pets. Others have 3 or 4 pages under false names. The ONLY way they get locked or pulled is because someone complains.

That's just it. The kid being 12 was just a pretext, but pretexts are easy to use if the Progressives are willing to submit complaints.

It's not actually all that hard to get a FB account locked down. Just organize a whole bunch of people to submit complaints. The first thing that happens is that the complaints hit a threshold that triggers the automated lock-down routine. Then a FB staffer takes a look and makes a determination on whether terms of service are violated.

The Progs are both able and willing to use its organizational capability to mount these kinds of speech denial attacks. Its a shame that Conservatives don't seem inclined to do the same - if there were a counter-effort targeting Progressive sites, it would be pretty easy to overwhelm FB's capability to conduct audits of pages that get automatically shut down.

A few days ago, I happened to notice that Imgur images were coming up as broken-picture icons. This behavior persisted for a couple of days or so. The HTTP status was 403 Forbidden. However, if I copied the image's URL and pasted it into the location bar, the image would come up fine. That suggested that Imgur was checking the Referer header and barfing when it found FR. No Referer header is sent when you type in the URL directly.

Apparently, it's against Imgur's terms of service to hotlink to a pornographic website.

Likely hypothesis: some 'Rat complained we were posting pr0n, and Imgur banned us until they got around to investigating.

Exactly right. And they used it to squelch an independent Black voice that cannot be allowed to be heard. I am just saying: be smart, use Dad's account.
